Revenue Sources

The Journal of Sustainable Materials Processing and Management (JSMPM) is published by UTHM Publisher, the official publishing house of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). As an integral part of the university, a significant portion of the journal's operational, administrative, and system hosting costs is financially supported by the university to advance global academic research.

To ensure sustainable open-access publication and to cover additional technical costs (including peer-review administration, professional typesetting, DOI registration, and indexing metadata), the journal also collects an Article Processing Charge (APC) from authors upon the official acceptance of their manuscripts.

In strict adherence to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, the journal guarantees that business models, publishing fees, or waiver status absolutely do not influence editorial decision-making. The acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is based solely on its academic merit, originality, and the outcome of a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
