Fusion-X: Off-Grid Sensor Fusion Environmental Monitoring System for Disaster Management

The frequency of natural disasters has increased in recent years. However, the need for an environmental tool that monitors and takes early measures to mitigate natural disasters, especially in vulnerable areas, cannot be overemphasised. Therefore, I propose the Fusion-X environmental monitoring system, which monitors various environmental factors, including pH levels, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), air quality, water levels, dust concentration, wind speed, tipping buckets, and water velocity. This tool uses the Internet of Things (IoT) to notify people of an urgent situation or natural disaster. This tool also collects samples from lakes as part of the regular monitoring of significant environmental factors. This tool produces effective real-time data with constant water levels but fluctuating pH levels, TDS, and DO. However, the PM10 and PM2.5 air quality averages are 1.077 and 1.659, indicating low levels of environmental pollution from traffic and industry. This environmental monitoring system can support disaster preparedness and its safety. This system is cost-effective and efficient, offering aid to local communities and local government.
