Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

The Journal of Technology Management and Business (JTMB) is committed to ensuring the digital preservation and long-term accessibility of all published academic articles, in alignment with international publishing best practices. Even in the event that this journal is no longer published in the future, all journal content will remain secured and accessible to the academic community through the following archiving mechanisms:

  • Global Archiving via the OJS Platform: As a journal operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS), JTMB utilizes distributed archiving systems including the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), and CLOCKSS. These systems permit participating libraries to create permanent archives for the purpose of preservation and restoration of journal data.
  • Institutional Repository and UTHM Internal Backup: All final published manuscripts are permanently archived within the UTHM Publisher database. This includes a dedicated offline backup server storage as well as the UTHM Institutional Repository to ensure data is continuously protected against any technical or physical server failures.
  • National Centralized Archiving: In accordance with the provisions of the Deposit of Library Material Act 1986, digital copies of each journal issue are required to be officially deposited and archived at the National Library of Malaysia (PNM). This serves as a legal depository to permanently preserve the nation's intellectual heritage.
